Feels Local waitlist: privacy note

This note covers the Feels Local waitlist only: the sign-up page and the emails that come from it. The Feels Local app has its own privacy policy, which will be updated before the app relaunches on Tuesday 5 January 2027.
Who runs this list

What we collect
- Your email address.
- Your answers to the two optional questions on the form: what you’ll translate first, and how you heard about us.
- Which link brought you to the sign-up page, when the link carries that information.
- Basic email activity, such as whether an email was opened or a link was clicked. Our email service records this by default.
- Any messages or files you choose to send when replying.
What we use it for
- To send a welcome email, then launch news and build notes from late November, about every 2 weeks, with extra emails around launch.
- To pick which example to show you first, based on what you said you’ll translate.
- To count where sign-ups come from.
After you join, we send a confirmation email. We send the welcome email, launch news and build notes only after you confirm. We don’t sell your details, we don’t share them with advertisers, and we don’t upload the list to social media ad tools.
Where it’s stored
The list is stored with Kit (kit.com), the email service we use to run the waitlist and send these emails. Kit may store data on servers outside your country, and it has its own privacy policy on its website.
Replies and attachments are stored in Rey’s email inbox and help him choose what to test and show before launch.
Unsubscribing and deletion
Unsubscribing stops these emails, but your subscriber record and email history remain in Kit. Every email has an unsubscribe link. To see, correct or request deletion of your details, email rey@feelslocal.com.
Changes
If this note changes, the date at the top changes too. If a change affects how we use your email, we’ll tell you by email first.
